Digital Forensics - From Data Breaches to eDiscovery
Dr. Brian Roux brings his considerable technical expertise to the practice. A computer forensic specialist, Dr. Roux manages the firm’s electronic discovery data and consults with clients to give insight as to what is technically possible, economically feasible, and legally recommended regarding the management of corporate IT systems.
Dr. Roux currently oversees the management and organization of over two million files using advanced algorithms for use in a complex, multi-venue federal litigation. His practice involves complex litigation, including labor and employment issues, and he is a certified mediator. He additionally maintains a general electronic data compliance practice relating to document retention policies and response to and containment of electronic data breaches.
Prior to pursuing his legal career, Dr. Roux provided e-discovery services and expert testimony relating to forensic investigations, data acquisition and preservation, data recovery, query design, and data analysis. His academic research and publishing continue today.

Education
A native of New Orleans, Dr. Roux obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and he subsequently completed a Ph.D. in Engineering and Applied Science, all from the University of New Orleans. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Tulane University Law School, where he received a Certificate in International & Comparative Law.
